Ivans Klementjevs is a Soviet-born Latvian politician and former sprint canoeist who competed from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s. He won three Olympic medals in C-1 1000 m at the 1988, 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics. The highlight was the gold medal in 1988, which he won as a competitor for the USSR. He trained at Trudovye Rezervy and later at the Armed Forces sports society in Riga when Latvia was part of the Soviet Union.

Raivis Belohvoščiks is a Latvian former professional road cyclist who specialized in individual time trial events. He is ten-time Latvian national time trial champion. In 2006 he signed a 2-year contract with UCI ProTour team Saunier Duval–Prodir, but this was not renewed for the 2009 season. In 2010, he rode for Ceramica Flaminia. He didn't achieve any major results in his first Tour de France. He was 40th in the first time trial around Metz. He was one of the major victims of the Passage du Gois in stage 2, and arrived last in stage 6 to Maubeuge. He left the race during the stage (10) to L'Alpe d'Huez.

Jefimijs Klementjevs is a Latvian sprint canoer who competed from the early 1990s to the early 2000s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he earned his best finish of seventh in the C-1 1000 m event at Sydney in 2000. In 2013 he was elected to be 1 of the 60 Riga City Council seat members.

Aiva Aparjode is a Latvian luger who competed from 1998 to 2006. She finished 18th in the women's singles event at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Aparjode's best finish at the FIL World Luge Championships was 17th at Nagano in 2004. Her son, Kristers Aparjods and her daughter, Kendija Aparjode, also are lugers.
