    Biography

    Sergei Mikhailovich Eisenstein was a Soviet film director, screenwriter, film editor and film theorist. He was a pioneer in the theory and practice of montage. He is noted in particular for his silent films Strike (1925), Battleship Potemkin (1925) and October (1928), as well as the historical epics Alexander Nevsky (1938) and Ivan the Terrible (1944, 1958). In its 2012 decennial poll, the magazine Sight & Sound named his Battleship Potemkin the 11th-greatest film of all time.

    Sergey Vladimirovich Shnurov is a Russian musician and songwriter, best known as Shnur (lit. cord), of the ska-punk band Leningrad which he formed in 1997. The group disbanded between 2008 and 2010, during which time Shnur formed Rubl with other members of Leningrad.

    Alexander Dmitryevich Beglov is a Russian politician. He has the federal state civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation. He was appointed acting Governor of Saint Petersburg on 3 October 2018. In the 2019 Saint Petersburg gubernatorial election, Beglov won with 64.43% of the votes.

    Sergei Yurievich Polonsky is a Russian businessman. He is the owner and head of one of the largest real estate companies in Russia, Mirax Group (2004–2011). He was one of the richest men in Russia before the late-2000s financial crisis. Now, he is a shareholder and investor in a number of commercial structures incorporated by the holding company Potok. He is currently awaiting trial in Moscow on charges of fraud. On 12 July 2017 he was found guilty, but the judge ruled that too much time had passed since the crime was committed for the court's decision to be implemented.
