Joseph Ronald "J. R." Quiñahan is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played college basketball for the University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers, winning the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) men's basketball title in each of his 5 years with UV, as well as winning two MVP awards in 2003 and 2004. After being drafted seventh overall by the Alaska Aces in the 2007 PBA draft, Quiñahan bounced around different PBA teams, before becoming part of the core for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, where he won two PBA championships, and established a partnership with Beau Belga, known as Extra Rice, Inc. owing to their large builds.

Eduardo "Eddie" Rivera Gullas Sr. is a Filipino politician from Cebu, Philippines. The son of Vicente Gullas and Pining Rivera, he has been elected to five terms as a Member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, representing the 1st District of Cebu from 1992 to 2001, and from 2004 to 2013. He is currently a member of Nacionalista and the One Cebu party. Gullas had also served as the governor of Cebu during the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos. Gullas also served as the president of the University of the Visayas. He had also held the offices of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and the House Majority Leader. He served mayor of Talisay City, Cebu from 2016 to 2019. He is among the 70 congressman who voted to deny the ABS-CBN franchise.

Rudolfo Austria “Rudy” Fernandez, Sr. was a prominent Filipino labor leader, trade unionist and staunch opposer of the late President Ferdinand Marcos in Davao City, Philippines. He was one of the original organizers of the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP/KMP) in 1975 and helped draft, develop, and establish its constitution and by-laws. He first came into the Philippine labor movement arena when he founded the Davao Port General & Transport Worker’s Union (DPGTWU), now the Association of Trade Unions - TUCP (ATU-TUCP), in Davao City. DPGTWU was one of the most active labor organizations in Davao City and its membership spread throughout Mindanao in the Southern Philippines during the years between 1967 and 1979. He ran for the Interim Batasang Pambansa (IBP) in the Philippines in 1978 as an Industrial Labor Sectoral Representative for the Mindanao Region but ultimately lost against his closest rival, Princess Porti Pacasum, daughter of one of the richest Lanao Muslim clans and owner of the biggest transport company in Lanao, Philippines.
