Nikol Vovayi Pashinyan is an Armenian politician who is serving as the 16th and current prime minister of Armenia since 8 May 2018. A journalist by profession, Pashinyan founded his own newspaper in 1998, which was shut down a year later for libel. He was sentenced for one year for defamation against then Minister of National Security Serzh Sargsyan. He edited the newspaper Haykakan Zhamanak ("Armenian Times") from 1999 to 2012. A supporter of Armenia's first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, he was highly critical of second president Robert Kocharyan, Defense Minister Serzh Sargsyan, and their allies. Pashinyan was also critical of Armenia's close relations with Russia, and promoted establishing closer relations with Turkey instead. He led a minor opposition party in the 2007 parliamentary election, garnering 1.3% of the vote.

Alexander Arzumanyan is Armenia's first ambassador to the United States (from 1992 to 1993) and to the United Nations (from 1992 to 1996). He served as minister of foreign affairs from 1996 until his resignation, with President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, in 1998. Styopa Seryozhayi Safaryan (Armenian: Ստյոպա Սերյոժայի Սաֆարյան; born 7 October 1973) is an Armenian politician and former member of the National Assembly of Armenia. Celîlê Celîl is a Kurdish historian, writer and Kurdologist. He was born in Yerevan in family of Kurds-Yazidi and studied history at the university of Yerevan and Oriental Academy of Leningrad. He wrote his thesis regarding the Kurdish rebellions in the 19th century. He received his PhD in 1963, and worked in the Academy of Sciences from 1963 to 1993. He along with his brother Ordîxanê Celîl, collected Yazidi religious poetry and Kurdish legends and tales. After the collapse of Soviet Union, he moved to Austria, and taught at the University of Vienna, where he taught Kurdish. He is now working at the Academy of Sciences in Vienna.

Vache Vazgeni Gabrielyan is the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at the American University of Armenia. Previously, he served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and the Minister for International Economic Integration and Reforms from 2014 to 2018. Vache Gabrielyan started his career in public service in 1990 as a staff member in the Armenian Parliament. After completion of his studies in the United States, he held various positions in the Central Bank of Armenia, where from 2008 to 2010 he acted as the Vice-Governor. Emînê Evdal, was a Kurdish writer, linguist and poet who was based in Armenia. He was born into a Kurds–Yezidi family in the village of Yamançayir near Kars which at the time was under Russian control. His village was destroyed during the Armenian genocide where he lost both his parents and his brother. In 1924, he attended the workers' school in Tbilisi, and in 1926 he began teaching in the Kurdish villages near Mount Elegez (Alagyaz). In 1931, he entered the Philology department of University of Yerevan, and began working in the Kurdish newspaper Rya Taza around the same period. He published his first book on the Kurdish language in 1933. From 1933 to 1937, he published several textbooks on Kurdish language education. He received his PhD in Kurdology in 1944 and his thesis was entitled Kurdish woman in traditional family: An analysis based on study of folklore and nation. After graduation, he worked in the Kurdology field at the Armenian Institute of History, and he was hired by the Department of Oriental Studies, Armenian Academy of Sciences in 1959. He was awarded the title of Best Retired Teacher by the Parliament of Armenia in 1960.
