Janet Buckner is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Colorado Senate who represents District 29, which includes a part of Aurora in Arapahoe County. Before her state senate tenure, she was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives. Michael H. Prosser, Professor Emeritus of the University of Virginia, was a Fulbright Professor at the University of Swaziland (1990–91), at which he initiated the communication major and experienced a military invasion on November 14, 1990, where 2-4 students were killed and more than 300-400 were injured. President of SIETAR International (1984–86), he later chaired six Rochester Intercultural Conferences (1995-2001), and was series editor for 17 books in Civic Discourse for the Third Millennium for Ablex, Praeger and Greenwood Publishing Group (1998-2004). A founder of the academic field of intercultural communication, he has been editor/coeditor or author/coauthor of 20 books plus one special volume for the International Journal of Intercultural Relations (2012: November).

Michael Joseph Roesler is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher. He played during two seasons at the major league level for the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates. He was drafted by the Reds in the 17th round of the 1985 amateur draft. Roesler played his first professional season with their Rookie league Billings Mustangs in 1985, and his last with the Kansas City Royals' Double-A Memphis Chicks and Triple-A Omaha Royals in 1993. When he was called up to the majors he struck Will Clark as 1 out of 18 strikeouts in the big leagues. Roeslers last professional appearance was in 1 game for the Brother Elephants of the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Michael A. Claytor is an American accountant, attorney, and politician. Claytor was the Democratic candidate for Indiana State Auditor during the 2014 election cycle, losing the race to Republican Suzanne Crouch. Prior to entering the race for Auditor, Claytor, a licensed CPA, worked for 15 years at the Indiana State Board of Accounts, where he served as Deputy Chief Examiner before transitioning to a career in the private sector and becoming a partner at Crowe Horwath LLP.
