    Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an Indian politician, poet, and statesman who served as the prime minister of India, first for a term of 13 days in 1996, then for a period of 13 months from 1998 to 1999, followed by a full term from 1999 to 2004. He was the first non-Congress prime minister to serve a full term in the office. Vajpayee was one of the co-founders and a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist paramilitary volunteer organisation. He was also a Hindi poet and a writer.

    Mulayam Singh Yadav was an Indian politician, a socialist figure and founder of the Samajwadi Party. Over the course of his political career spanning more than six decades, he served for three terms as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and also as the Union Minister of Defence in the Government of India. A long-time parliamentarian, he was a seven-time Member of Parliament representing Mainpuri, Azamgarh, Sambhal and Kannauj constituencies in the Lok Sabha, a ten-time member of the Legislative Assembly, member of the Legislative Council and the Leader of Opposition several times as well. Yadav was a prominent figure of his time in Uttar Pradesh politics, and was often referred to as Netaji (meaning respected leader in Hindi) and sometimes Dhartiputra (son of mother earth) by his party leaders and workers. Known for several controversies, Yadav was one of the few politicians to be labelled "Supporter of Rape and Rapists" due to his comments on rape and anti-women views and opinions. In 2023, he was posthumously conferred with Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian award by the Government of India.

    Bhagat Singh Koshyari is an Indian politician who served as the 22nd governor of Maharashtra from 2019 to 2023.     Santosh Kumar Gangwar is an Indian politician currently serving as the Governor of Jharkhand. He is a former Minister of State with independent charge in the Ministry of Labour and Employment in the Government of India. He was a Member of Parliament (16th Lok Sabha), former minister of state in Government of India and a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been Member of Parliament for the city of Bareilly since 1989 till date (except 2009–2014). He was also the chief whip of the party in 14th Lok Sabha.
