    Carolina María Marín Martín is a Spanish badminton player. She is an Olympic Champion, three-time World Champion, and eight-time European Champion. She once held the No. 1 BWF World Ranking in women's singles for a total of 66 weeks. She has won the World Championships in 2014, 2015, and 2018, becoming the second women's singles player after Han Aiping to win the title three times. Marín is the only player in history to win at least seven gold medals in a single discipline of any continental championship (individual events), having won every European Championships title since 2014, and a European Games title in 2023. She also won the Olympic gold medal in women's singles at the 2016 Rio Olympics, thereby becoming the only non-Asian female player to win a badminton gold medal at the Olympics.

She is the former world record holder in the short course 200 metre butterfly, 400 metre individual medley, 400 metre freestyle, 800 metre freestyle, and 1500 metre freestyle.     Saúl Craviotto Rivero is a Spanish police officer and sprint kayaker who has been racing since the mid-2000s. He has won six Olympic medals: a gold medal (with Carlos Pérez) in the K-2 500 m event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, a silver medal in the K-1 200 m event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, a gold medal (with Cristian Toro) in the K-2 200 m event and a bronze medal in the K-1 200 m at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, a silver medal (with Marcus Cooper, Carlos Arévalo and Rodrigo Germade) in the K-4 500 m event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and a bronze medal (with Carlos Arévalo, Marcus Cooper, and Rodrigo Germade) in the K-4 500 m event at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
