John Milton Hay was an American statesman and official whose career in government stretched over almost half a century. Beginning as a private secretary for Abraham Lincoln, he became a diplomat. He served as United States Secretary of State under Presidents William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt. Hay was also a biographer of Lincoln, and wrote poetry and other literature throughout his life.

Laura Marie Kaeppeler is an American beauty pageant titleholder crowned Miss America 2012 on January 14, 2012, representing the state of Wisconsin. Kaeppeler was the first woman representing Wisconsin to win Miss America since Terry Meeuwsen won Miss America 1973. She was briefly on the board of directors for the Miss America Organization.

He has published three novels with the publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt including: Whiteman, The Konkans (2008), and Mule (2011). He sold a feature film adaptation of a Holocaust memoir, Tilli's Story, to Barn 38 Productions as "My Thoughts Are Free" (2017). He ghost wrote Dr. Anna Kohen's Holocaust memoir, "Flower of Flora" (Amsterdam Publishing, 2023), and "Century of Excellence" (2025), a centennial history of the Williams Parker Law Firm.

Kina Isis Collins is an American community organizer and activist, whose work has focused on issues of gun control, criminal justice reform, and universal healthcare. Collins was a candidate in the Democratic primary for the 2024 U.S. House election for Illinois's 7th congressional district, and was previously a primary candidate for the same seat in the 2020 and 2022 elections, winning 13.8% and 45.6% of the vote respectively. Collins has declared her candidacy for the Illinois Democratic primary scheduled on March 17, 2026, again running for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois's 7th congressional district.
