Kōji Yamamoto is a former Japanese baseball player and manager of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Japan's Central League. A four-time home run king having played for Hiroshima Carp throughout his career, Yamamoto contributed to the team winning five league championships including its first-ever in 1975, and three titles of Japan Series in 1979, 1980 and 1984. He recorded over 40 home runs for five years in a row from 1977. With 536 home runs, he is fourth on the NPB career list. A two-way player who really excelled at pitching, Noguchi was a six-time 20-game winner, a three-time 30-game winner, and once won 40 games in a season. His 1.96 career earned run average is second all-time. As a batter, Noguchi had a 31-game hitting streak, a Japanese professional baseball record which stood for 25 years. He was elected to the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.

Yoshinobu Miyake is a retired Japanese weightlifter and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Lieutenant. Cao Rulin was Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Beiyang Government, and an important member of the pro-Japanese movement in the early 20th century. He was a Shanghai lawyer working in Beijing when he was appointed by the provisional president, Yuan Shikai, to a vacant seat in the National Assembly's senate in 1913. He represented Outer Mongolia because Mongolia boycotted the elections after declaring independence during the Xinhai Revolution. Wang Yitang was a politician and military leader in the Qing Dynasty and Republic of China. He belonged to the Anhui clique and formed the Anfu Club (安福俱樂部). Deng Nan-guang, born Deng Teng-hui (鄧騰輝), was a Taiwanese photographer and a key figure in the early development of photography in Taiwan. From the Hakka community in Beipu, Hsinchu, he was born into the prominent Chiang (姜) family (also called XinChiang, 新姜). Deng is recognized as one of the pioneers of photography in Taiwan,and is often referred to as one of the "Three Musketeers of Photography," (攝影三劍客) alongside Zhang Tsai (張才) and Lee Ming-diao (李鳴雕).

Zhu Zhixin was a Chinese revolutionary author and close colleague of Sun Yatsen. He was a member of the Tongmenghui. Zhu made a name for himself for a series of written debates with reformist Liang Qichao, where he advocated a single land tax, revolution against the Qing dynasty, and the establishment of a Chinese republic. In 1905 he provided the first Chinese translation of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels's The Communist Manifesto. In 1918 he decided to forgo further military affairs and follow cultural and ideological pursuits. Zhu was a gifted writer and polemicist known among other writers. Zhu and Liao Zhongkai helped Sun Yat-sen negotiate an alliance with the Soviet Union in 1920, eventually giving rise to the First United Front. After his untimely death in 1920, Wang Jingwei helped establish the Zhixin Memorial School in Guangzhou.
