    Biography

    Pervez Musharraf was a Pakistani politician and a military officer who served as the tenth president of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008. He overthrew Nawaz Sharif's government in the 1999 coup d'état and proclaimed himself the chief executive of Pakistan, under martial law.

    Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah NI(M) HJ HI(M) is a Pakistani military officer who is currently serving as Pakistan's first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and the 11th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Pakistan Army concurrently. Prior to becoming the COAS, he was posted at the GHQ as quartermaster general. He is the first army chief of Pakistan who has previously headed both the Military Intelligence and Inter-Services Intelligence.

    Ashfaq Parvez Kayani NI HI(C) HI(M) OMM (Urdu: اشفاق پرویز کیانی; born 20 April 1952), is a retired four-star general of the Pakistan Army who served as the eighth chief of army staff, being appointed on 29 November 2007 after his predecessor Pervez Musharraf retired from his military service and remained in the office until 29 November 2013.
