Admissions RequirementsIf graduating with OACs, most Ryerson programmes/schools encourage 70% or higher in six OACs, or equivalent, and include the required subject prerequisite within these averages. If graduating under the new curriculum effective 2003, most Ryerson programmes/schools encourage 70% or higher in a minimum of six Grade 12 U or U/C credits, and include the required subject prerequisite within these averages. Applicants from a country where English is not the first language, or where English is an official language but not the first language are required to provide proof of English proficiency at a satisfactory level. Eligibility for admission will be based on an assessment of academic and, when applicable, non-academic factors, such as audition, admission essay, interview, portfolio, etc. For the Diploma of Arts Programme and the pre-University Studies option, the minimum requirements is the OSSD.

    Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva, known professionally as Nina Dobrev, is a Canadian actress. Born in Bulgaria, she moved with her family to Canada at age two and grew up in Toronto. Her first acting role was as Mia Jones in the drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She later became known for portraying Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on The CW's supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries.
