    Brian Alexander Gallant KC is a Canadian retired politician who served as the 33rd premier of New Brunswick from October 7, 2014 to November 9, 2018. Of Acadian and Dutch descent, Gallant practised as a lawyer before winning the Liberal leadership in October 2012, securing the riding of Kent in a by-election on April 15, 2013, shortly followed by his swearing in as Leader of the Opposition. After the 2014 election, in which the Progressive Conservative government of David Alward was defeated, Gallant was sworn in as Premier at the age of 32.

    Diane Lebouthillier is a Canadian politician who served as Minister of National Revenue from 2015 to 2023 and Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard from 2023 to 2025. A member of the Liberal Party, she was elected to the House of Commons in the 2015 federal election and represented the riding of Gaspésie—Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine for ten years. She was unseated by the Bloc Québécois candidate Alexis Deschênes in the 2025 election.
