María Isabel Díaz Lago is a Cuban actress. A graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte, her first film role was in Una novia para David. She became the first Cuban "Almodóvar girl", appearing in the 2006 film Volver. On the small screen, she is best known for her role as Soledad "Sole" Núñez Hurtado on Locked Up. She has resided in Spain since 1996.

Alina Rodríguez was a Cuban actress. She acted in films, television series and theater for more than three decades, and became a favorite among audiences and critics. She most notably performed as Regla in the 2000 film Lista de Espera and as the teacher Carmela in the 2014 film Behavior. She received the IFFI Best Actor Award (Female): Silver Peacock Award for her work in Behavior at the 45th International Film Festival of India, as well as the Havana Star Prize for Best Actress at the 15th Havana Film Festival New York. She died on 27 July 2015, at the age of 63.

Sandra Ramos is a Cuban contemporary painter, printmaker, collagist, video and installation artist who explores nationality, gender, and identity in her work. She is known for works featuring her character of the Cuban Pioneer girl, who is composed of a self-portrait and an appropriated portion of an old illustration from 1895' L' illustration French magazine. Ramos currently lives in Miami, Florida, and serves as an artist in residence at Bakehouse Art Complex. Previously, she was a resident artist at The Foutain Head Art Studios. She is also a renowned curator in Cuba, and she won a national award for her curatorial work on the exhibition La Huella Múltiple (Multiple Fingerprint) in 2003 from the Consejo Nacional de las Artes Plásticas (CNAP) in Havana, Cuba.

La Vaughn Belle is an artist from the United States Virgin Islands who uses a variety of media including drawings, paintings, woodwork, ceramics, photography, and video. She is best known for co-creating with Jeannette Ehlers the 23-foot tall statue “I Am Queen Mary,” the first public statue of a black woman in Denmark, featuring labor leader Mary Thomas.
