Admissions RequirementsThree subjects at the GCE Advanced Level plus two subjects at CXC General Proficiency/GCE Ordinary Level or two subjects at the GCE Advanced Level plus three subject at the CXC/CSEC General Proficiency/ GCE Ordinary Level in both case English and in some case Mathematics must be among the subjects obtained. A minimum of five CXC/CSEC General Proficiency (Grades I, II or III)/ five passes at GCE 'O' Level at ONE sitting, including English Language, the subject(s) required for the pursuit of the major, where applicable, and Mathematics for designated programmes.     David Arthur Granger is a Guyanese former politician and retired military officer who served as the ninth president of Guyana from 2015 to 2020. A member of the People’s National Congress (PNC), he previously served as Commander of the Guyana Defence Force and as National Security Adviser from 1990 to 1992. He was leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Guyana from 2012 to 2015.

    George Simon was a Guyanese Lokono Arawak artist and archaeologist. He was the founder and mentor of the Lokono Artists Group, a group of Lokono artists from Guyana, based primarily in his hometown of St. Cuthbert's Mission. Simon was widely regarded as one of the leading Guyanese artists of his generation, and his paintings (acrylic on canvas, paper or twill fabric) are notable for their explorations of Amerindian culture and the Guyanese environment. He was also recognized for his achievements as an educator, his efforts to develop opportunities for Amerindian artists in Guyana, and for his work as an archaeologist.
