As a player, he played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Angels, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Philadelphia Phillies. He played college baseball for Wagner College and was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the sixth round of the 2006 MLB draft.
