José Julián Martí Pérez was a Cuban nationalist, poet, philosopher, essayist, journalist, translator, professor, and publisher, who is considered a Cuban national hero because of his role in the liberation of his country from Spain. He was also an important figure in Latin American literature. He was a political activist and is considered an important philosopher and political theorist. Through his writings and political activity, he became a symbol of Cuba's bid for independence from the Spanish Empire in the 19th century and is referred to as the "Apostle of Cuban Independence". José Calvo Sotelo, 1st Duke of Calvo Sotelo, GE was a Spanish jurist and politician. Violeta Barba Borderías is a Spanish lawyer and former politician of the Podemos party. Formerly the leader of the youth sector of the United Left of Aragon, she joined Podemos and was elected to the Cortes of Aragon in the 2015 election, becoming president of the Cortes (speaker) the following year; she was the first woman and youngest person in the office. She ran for mayor in the 2019 Zaragoza City Council election but resigned days after only winning two seats, and returned to the legal profession.

Luis Antonio Oro Giral has been professor of chemistry at the University of Zaragoza since 1982. His main research interests are in organometallic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis with a special interest in reaction mechanisms. He has coauthored well over 500 scientific papers being co-author or co-editor of several books. He has received numerous national and international awards and honors, and is member of several international scientific academies. He has been President of the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (2008–2011) and President of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (2000–2005). He has also served in high-level positions in the Spanish public administration with responsibilities for science.

Jesús Elías Francisco Elizalde Sainz de Robles was a Spanish Carlist politician. He served in the Cortes in two separate strings: during the Second Republic in 1936 and during Francoism in 1954-1958. In 1938-1939 he was a member of Junta Política of Falange Española Tradicionalista, and in 1954-1958 he was a member of FET's Consejo Nacional. In 1942-1944 he headed the regional Carlist Navarrese organization. Politically he sided with the Carlist branch which opted for conciliatory policy towards the Franco regime and leaned towards a monarchist dynastical alliance.
